In this modern Southern Gothic folktale, players control Hazel, a young woman drawn into a surreal version of the American Deep South following a devastating hurricane in her hometown of Prospero. As a newly appointed Weaver, Hazel possesses magical abilities that allow her to mend broken bonds and spirits. Her journey involves confronting mythical creatures inspired by Southern folklore, such as Two-Toed Tom, a colossal blind albino alligator, and Huggin’ Molly, a monstrous woman-spider.
The game features a distinctive art style influenced by traditional stop-motion animation, giving characters a handcrafted, maquette-like appearance. The narrative is presented through a storybook format, guided by a dynamic narrator, enhancing the immersive experience.
